About

Adrian has been the Chief Executive of Preston City Council since May 2018.

Adrian is committed to ensuring the city council acts as a catalyst to city centre development and regeneration initiatives, working proactively with a range of anchor partners and the wider business community to maximise investment and beneficial impacts to Preston and its wider city region. The Council’s innovative Community Wealth Building approach is central to its philosophy of ensuring local investment opportunities benefit all the city’s diverse communities.

Why did you decide to become a PP board member?

Preston Partnership brings together business, voluntary and public sector partners, people who a positive about our city and committed to working together to ensure further growth, regeneration and investment. I was delighted to be asked to join the board to help strengthen and build upon this existing successful working relationship.

What is your Preston ambition?

Preston has a significant ambition expressed in the City Investment Plan. The Council is committed to working with partners to achieve these ambitions. In the short to medium term, I want to ensure that we deliver all the ambitious city centre investment projects leading to a transformed city and achieve a fairer, healthier and more prosperous city for all our residents.
