About

Born and raised in Preston, Robert leads the Cotton Court Group, which has locations in Preston and Leyland. He is also a director of FYC For Your Curls; a haircare range manufactured in Lancashire and sold across the UK and Europe. He is a director of Preston’s Towns Fund Board, a trustee at the DWF Foundation and Lancashire Chair of Downtown in Business.

Why did you decide to become a PP board member?

A Prestonian with multiple interests in the city, I’m privileged to give back to a place which has given me so much. Businesses and the public sector cannot make transformational change by themselves, but with a diverse and collaborative team working towards a common objective, anything is possible.

What is your Preston ambition?

I want our city to realise its potential and become an even better place to live and do business. Preston should be seen as the city where talent meets opportunity. With a first-class transport network, universities, colleges and business community, Preston is the North West’s third city. I want to see Preston attract more external investment and retain our talent.
